How to install

Windows
  1. Download the installer and double-click Landlordspace-Setup.exe.
  2. If Windows says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. This appears because the app is new and not yet widely downloaded.
  3. Landlordspace opens when the installation finishes. You will also find it on your Desktop and in the Start menu.

To remove it later: Settings, Apps, Landlordspace, Uninstall.

Mac
  1. Choose the right file: Apple chip for M1, M2, M3 and M4 Macs, Intel for older Macs. (Apple menu, About This Mac shows which you have.)
  2. Open the downloaded zip, then drag Landlordspace into your Applications folder.
  3. First time only: open Terminal (press Command+Space, type Terminal) and paste this line, then press Return:
xattr -cr /Applications/Landlordspace.app && codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/Landlordspace.app
  4. Open Landlordspace from Applications. After this it opens normally.

Step 3 is needed because the app is not yet registered with Apple. It does not change anything else on your Mac.

Questions

Do I need an account to use the app?

Yes. The apps ask you to sign in or create a free account first, so your messages, saved properties and rent records are always yours. It is the same account you use on the website.

Is the app free?

Yes, downloading and installing is free. Plans and fees work exactly as they do on the website.

Why does my computer warn me?

New apps that are not yet widely downloaded trigger a warning. Only download from this page, and check the SHA-256 code if you want to be sure the file is genuine.

Can I sign in with Google or Facebook in the app?

Not inside the app yet. Use your email and password. If you registered with Google or Facebook, use “Forgot password” to set a password for the app.

Will the app update itself?

The app shows the live website, so new features appear automatically. If we release a new version of the app itself, we will post it here.
